Family Edition: 2021

After almost 2 years of no live events, D-Composed Gives: Family Edition made a return. This year, the event was hosted on the Westside at Herban Produce in Garfield Park. 

Ahead of the event, guests could tour the farm and learn about the various produce offerings. While they mingled in nature filled environment, chef Danny Bullock created light bites that paid homage to the nature theme. 

The main event, featured compositions from contemporary and modern composers such as Tomeka Reid, Nina Simone, Sam Cooke and D-Composed’s own Tahirah Whittington. 

Popular audience interactive moments were sprinkled throughout with children coloring along to the latest edition of our coloring book, Music in Color Vol. 4.
