Chicago Athletic Association: Trendsetters

Chicago Athletic Association hosted D-Composed for an intimate evening of chamber music. The theme was Trendsetters and the quartet played a selection of music that paid homage to the trailblazers of classical music and beyond.

While guests were soothed by the varying genres of music that filled the room, Crown Royal provided complimentary fall themed cocktails.

Featured composers of the evening included Chevalier de Saint-Georges, Florence Price, George Walker, Tomeka Reid, & Joel Thompson. Pop music composers that were highlighted include Devonté Hynes, Tyler, The Creator and Solange Knowles.

The featured quartet comprised of Caitlin Edwards on violin, Kyle Dickson on violin, Danielle Taylor on viola, and Tahirah Whittington on cello.

The pop medley was arranged by Danielle Taylor.
